Bartender - Part Time

Position Description

The Millwald Theatre is seeking customer service-driven individuals to join our front of house team as Bartenders. Responsibilities include preparing beverages for patrons 21+, selling concessions, helping keep our facility clean and presentable, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all guests have a positive experience. The position requires a professional and friendly demeanor, knowledge of Alcoholic Beverage Control laws in Virginia, and the ability to maintain focus during moments of chaos and excitement.   

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Pouring and mixing alcoholic beverages for guests 21+ 

  • Ensuring all Alcoholic Beverage Control laws are followed 

  • Selling concessions to guests 

  • Helping to maintain a clean and safe environment 

  • Remaining up to date and knowledgeable of current events at the Millwald 

Education and Experience  

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by previous customer service experience, OR 

  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Bartending, Front of House (hospitality), or sales experience preferred 

  • Ability to learn point of sale software and hardware 

  • Basic math skills are a must 

  • Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverage Control laws preferred
