All About Auditioning will examine the process of an audition from choosing your material, to presenting and showcasing your talents. Students will learn professional standards surrounding cold readings, dance calls, and the callback process of an audition. 

Students will glean audition techniques from instructors with over 20 years of professional experience. All About Auditioning will provide students with training and insights that help them navigate an audition like a pro!

An Intimate Evening with Coral Reefer Doyle Grisham with Special Guest Michael Armstrong - Presented by Waiting to Hear

Join us for an intimate evening with the legendary “Dangerous Doyle” Grisham member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. Doyle began playing with Jimmy Buffett in 1972 and continues touring with the Coral Reefers today. He is best known for playing steel guitar on Buffett classics like “He Went to Paris” but has a long and storied career that includes recording with country music royalty including George Jones, Randy Travis, Reba McIntire, Dan Seals, Mel Tillis, Kitty Wells and many others. Joining Doyle will be special guest and longtime friend Michael Armstrong. Michael is lead singer for The Key West Band one of the oldest and most popular Jimmy Buffet Tributes. Michael has performed with Key west since 1993 playing in twenty states and sharing the stage with many of the Coral Reefers. This special fundraising event is hosted by Waiting to Hear a nonprofit based in Kingsport TN with a very important mission : To help deaf kids…HEAR!

During his star-making decade, John placed 20 singles on the county charts, 6 of which went to the top 5, with Your Love Amazes Me, scoring #1 on the Billboard and Radio & Records Country Chart, as well as Standing on the Edge of Goodbye, and She’s Taken a Shine earning the #1 slot in Radio & Records. He has earned multiple Gold and Platinum records over the years. John was nominated for the ACM Top New Male Vocalist in 1994, won a Grammy Award in 1996 for his participation in Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1, was nominated for another Grammy in 1995 for his smash hit Your Love Amazes Me and was nominated for the CMA Horizon Award and Top Male Vocalist Award in 1995. In 1997, he was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year (for Long Haired Country Boy with Charlie Daniels and Hal Ketchum), and in 2013, John was nominated for the Mainstream Country Male Artist by the ICM Awards. And thanks to the miracles of modern technology, he even sang a duet with the late, great Patsy Cline.
